Las habitaciones con una limpieza de maravilla y el mobiliario súper bien. Lo único que si veo como negativo es el trato en el servicio, por ser locales (nacionales) no hubo tanta atención como con los estadounidenses, eso me quedó un poco a deber, pero fuera de eso las instalaciones, áreas comunes y habitaciones del hotel están para disfrutarlas en general.”

*BED BUGS* I do not know why this resort is rated so highly on every site. Let’s run down the list - while the service from the staff was decent (they were all friendly), it was very hard to communicate with them. Most spoke very little English, which is completely fine, but definitely a first for me and caused troubles with our food/drinks coming out properly. Additionally, BED BUGS. B-E-D B-U-G-S people. If there is ONE REASON you should reconsider staying here or canceling your reservation at this resort it is because of the BED BUGS!!! I have stayed in many hotels and resorts, some far from as “nice” as this resort looks and have never run into bed bugs. I’ve come home all bitten up. If you sort these reviews from most recent you’ll see it’s a very common trend and a major issue the resort continues to ignore. Also, the drinks were all inclusive, which is awesome, but they were poured so weak and they all tasted so watered down.. not like any all inclusive resort that I’ve been to before. I would have rather paid for better drinks. The food at the buffet was very average and the only restaurant we tried that was worth going back to for a second time was the steakhouse. The swim-out was the best part of our stay because the pool closest to us (main pool in the hideaway) was literally probably 50% piss. The smell was horrid and so apparent but again, another thing the resort is ignoring. It is safe to say this resort is NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!!!! Definitely worth cancelling and finding a different resort if you have an upcoming reservation. We will not be going back.

Además del pago de las habitaciones nos hicieron dar un depósito antes de entregar la habitación que no te devuelven si no lo pides al hacer el check out y este debe ser con tarjeta de crédito. Pésimo servicio de recepción. Mis familiares fueron a recogerme y tuve que estar una hora peleando para que los dejaran pasar por mi al estacionamiento. Los recepcionistas me querían obligar a tomar un taxi del Lobby a la caseta de vigilancia que me cobraba $400. Después me platicaron los Taxistas que ese es el negocio y que los Uber son ilegales, lo cual no tenía nada que ver porque el coche en el que fueron por mí era rentado. Pedí hablar con el gerente pero nunca llegó. A las habitaciones les falta mantenimiento.

El Hotel es bello, la infraestructura de primer nivel, y debo destacar la atención de piscina y playa de Brenda y Raul se nota su espíritu de servicio y de empatía para hacerte pasar unas buenas vacaciones. Lamentablemente ese espiritu no es de todos, hay persona que se podría decir que están al borde de la mala educación. No quiero dar nombres, porque no siento que sea un tema de personas, sino de supervisión (trabajo en gestión de personas). Valoro el servicio de habitación, siempre muy limpia y ordenada. Lo que evalúo negativamente y lo hice saber a supervisores del sector es el área de comidas del buffet... ABSOLUTAMENTE TODOS LOS DIAS, fue una constante de solicitar una cuchara para revolver el café, teniamos que revolver con la parte trasera de cualquier otro servicio o con palitos de madera (como aparece en la foto), hago saber esta situación porque no es barato lo que pagas como para no tener un utensilio básico que se requiere en una comida. El cafe siempre llegaba tarde y frio, y no tiene que ver con un tema de cantidad de personas u horario peak, ya que vine a distintas hora y la situacion fue siempre la misma. Comíamos practicamente en la penumbra, siempre con una luz bajísima donde con suerte ves lo que comes. Hay cosas positivas pero la verdad despues de 10 días saco la cuenta quehe estado en otros hoteles de inferior categoría en Cancún, y la verdad que no vi mayor diferencia respecto a este.

I would say I had a flawless stay from start to finish!! Staff was friendly very helpful. Wide selection of restaurants places to drink snack bars.I would totally come back recommend for a family or people trying to get a bit tipsy.

Stayed here during my first time in cancun. Great service especially still with covid, the food was the best and fit my taste very well. Cleaning did a good job but not as thorough as could be, my friends and I left covered in bug bites source unknown.

Muy buena comida e instalaciones muy completas y diversas. El servicio es bueno, pero si no eres extranjero se notará la diferencia en el trato del personal del hotel. Aún con todo incluído la exigencia de propina es evidente para que consideren llevar dinero si quieren recibir un mejor trato. Considerar que el complejo está retirado, por lo que viajar en taxi hacia otros lugares costará más de 1,000 pesos por cada viaje redondo.

*Check-in* This was a girls trip for the books! 12 of us travelled to this resort to celebrate our friend's bachelorette. Upon arrival we were escorted to the check-in area that had a well-stocked bar and finger food on display. The check-in process was easy. Ensure that you have a credit card to place on file while you stay.*Rooms* The rooms were clean and stocked with all the necessary amenities. My roommates and I weren't at all pleased with the view that came with the original room we were assigned so requested a new one. The requested change was welcomed and we were moved to a pool view.*Overall Experience* Food & Drinks were 10/10. BOOK YOUR RESTAURANTS EARLY, AS SLOTS GO FAST. If you miss reservations, don't be mad, the main buffet has a WIDE variety of local and international cuisine.On Friday nights, the all-white party is a MUST. I love how everyone actually wears white. The mascot comes out to dance and there are balloons everywhere. It's really a vibe.The resort is perfect for friend/family groups and couples.DEAR LADIES, IF YOU ARE AFRAID OF HUGE LIZARDS, WATCH OUT! THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!

This resort is absolutely stunning and beautiful great for families. Super big lots of fun and shows. The food is good.The only negative bad thing I have to say about this resort is the gift shop. They are very rude and overprice do not buy anything at the resort shops wait until you get to the airport for all the better souvenirs at a reasonable price.I gave the resort yeah shop a one star. They should find better management and polite or staff to assist you in your shopping.

Check in - I asked if there is a room with a view that he can recommend. His response is there are no rooms available. Only opinions of the mangroves were available. He did not know that I already had paid $69 US to select my room on the Royalton App. So I went into my emails and brought that up. Thank goodness that I did that, or I would have ended up with a mangrove view.Room - on our way to the room, this awful smell hits us. I'm not sure where the smell comes from, but it's there. The water that comes out of the shower and sinks smells. After taking our showers, we had to get rid of that smell with perfume and creams. I tried opening our balcony doors, but that made it worst. The bed and the room were immaculate. The maids are great here. They make up our beds and gave us whatever we needed.The restaurants were not impressive. Especially the hunter steakhouse where I bought a $86 bottle of wine and $25 lobster extra. Just so that we can get a reservation for the evening. This was supposed to be one of their top restaurants. The steak was not cooked properly; I could not eat it. All the restaurants have an “Inhance you Experience ”section, where you pay extra for lobster or some other seafood. The buffet was the one place we found something to eat most of the nights after being disappointed by the different restaurants.The pools are horrible! They smell like urine! There is no chlorine and it's definitely not saltwater pool either. So my advice is to stay away from the pools. It's just gross but there are a lot of people who get in them.Overall this was the worst experience I have had at an all-inclusive resort in Mexico. I will not be going back.

I’ve been to Cancun many many times and this resort was by far the worst one i’ve ever stayed at. Stay far away! Upon arrival i checked in at the diamond club lounge and received a room that looked at other buildings in the resort even though i booked an ocean view room. The explanation i received was that i booked an ocean view room, not an ocean front room. I had absolutely no view of the ocean from my room. The worker in the diamond club changed my room, but did have an attitude in the process. On the second night, the resort went black twice. You would think a resort would have better electrical. After returning to my room, the air conditioning stopped working. I was informed that it had stopped working because of the black out; which is funny because all my friends rooms were fine. So i received another room. In this room, the air conditioning was so loud it made a rattling noise. The maintenance worker told me it was missing a piece and placed a rag in there to reduce the noise. He said someone would come back the next day which did not happen. The shower head and knob in this room was all moldy. I also have what appears to be bed bug bites which are super itchy. Do yourself a favor and do not come here!! You would think that the resort would offer some type of compensation for all the inconvenience but nothing. Royalton Riviera needs new management. Quality control is clearly not a concern for current management. This is not a five star resort.

DO NOT BOOK HERE! There are BED BUGS. Our treatment before the bed bugs was unacceptable but then we got bitten after they switched our room to the actual room we reserved and tried to DENY IT. We were on our honeymoon, they gave us a double bed room not the king room we reserved then after 3 days gave us the proper room and all of the sudden I wake up covered in bites! This was after the butler manager YELLED at me when I complained about not getting our bags brought down to the room for 2 hours after we checked in. We went to every level of management at the hotel possible and we were literally offered NOTHING except the things we already got for free already! It’s an all inclusive and we were offered a bottle of tequila and an hour of hydrotherapy which is already INCLUDED. This place has no idea what hospitality means. Also the food was horrendous besides one restaurant. They use a margarine instead of butter that tasted like plastic and served us the most disgusting “sushi” at their sushi restaurant that was literally rice with a fake crab stick and plain Mayo. Nice hotel and good food and drinks. Not everything as advertised,website says no saving beach/pool chairs but that is the only way to get one in the adults section, by 9 am all saved and only a handful of people there. They claim free beach bag with upgraded room, but again not on website but you have to upgrade even more than advertised. Sand flies and mosquitoes will eat you alive without bug spray. So called butler service was rude and useless.All that aside, room was beautiful,air-conditioning that actually worked, room service menu was limited but food was good and 24hrs.Staff were all friendly and helpful except butler service. Restaurants had great food, everything was nice and clean.Overall we would probably go again now that we now we need lots of bug spray.

Everything you want you have to pay extra. The spa was INSANELY rude to us when we tried using our coupons and we had to get the head manager to take care of it for us. Not to mention if you order room service or anything like an extra blanket Even. It took 6 calls and 60 minutes to get one blanket. This is a scam hotel. Not even a hotel but a motel. DO NOT COME HERE!!! you will not regret going to one of the nice resorts not this puny little money grabbing hotel. It was our honeymoon and they did nothing!!!! Horrible service. Rude staff. Just so do not come herewe even got the head butler supervisor and she did not apologize for our experience once and was absolutely so rude to me and made a nasty remark as she left our room. So we went to the head manager butler and he set up a “special dinner” and all it was was a regular dinner you had to pay more for everything on the menu and the food was awful and their basic wines tasted like metal. I can’t explain enough how bad our experience was here and many guests said they had the same problems. Save yourself money. Go elsewhere.

Lo bueno: Algunos miembros del staff eran muy amables. Lo que no nos gusto: -Aun que llegamos después de la hora de check in, tardaron 35 minutos en atendernos y la fila no tenia orden. Había empleados fuera de la recepción que pudieron haber coordinado que fuera más organizado y eficiente pero estaban sentados platicando entre ellos. -El desayuno es variado y no está mal pero el resto de los alimentos es de baja calidad ya sea en el restaurante italiano, caribeno (sin mariscos, basicamente) y el japones. -El hotel se ve muy maltratado, los pasillos sin luz, los blancos se sienten viejos y muy usados. -Hay música intensa todo el dia (reggeaton hasta en la alberca de niños ). Creo que si cuidaran el mantenimiento de las instalaciones y la calidad de la comida podrian mejorar mucho pero por mi experiencia y la del resto de mi grupo, no lo recomendaria.

First off the resort is beautiful!!!! Then we had Eduardo as our butler. His service and kindness was unbelievable. We didn’t worry about anything!!!! He made the stay even better than I could of imagined. Then Alejandro was our wait staff by the pool. He made sure we had comfortable seating, drinks, towels, literally anything that we needed and some. Their service alone would make anyone feel like royalty. The room was so clean and the mini was stocked full every day. Just a remarkable experience to say the least. Eduardo and Alejandro provide such quality service that I will always only stay at Royalton when I travel to Cancun. Thank you Royalton Chic for having f such amazing staff.

5+ stars for sure! I just spent a week there with my Mom and had an absolute blast. The food is incredible, the evening shows were a blast and the views were stunning. One of our favourite features was the private butlers, we had Ruddy and Francisco and they treated us like royalty, booked our day beds, our dinner reservations and answered all of our questions! They really went above and beyond spoiling us the entire time. Being home without a butler a butler now is just awful lol. Beyond that the resort is very well maintained, clean and the rest of the staff was fabulous also!

El hotel es es excelente, tiene varios restaurantes en los que podrás comer delicioso. Pará el restaurante de tepanyaki recomiendo hacer reserva con tiempo, se complica encontrar disponibilidad. La atención es excelente.

DO NOT STAY HERE! The hotel check in staff was very rude. I booked a room for 2 queen beds. Upon arrival, I was told that it would cost $600 more because an additional person was in the room. Wait…what!?!! I even called the week before to add the additional person to my reservation and no one mentioned this additional charge!The beach has a lot of seaweed. I didn’t see anyone dare go swimin the beach water. The resort is overpriced for what you get. We asked to change rooms because the room we initially got when we looked out the patio, it looked like a jungle outside. It was hideous! Why would you allow your “resort” property to look like that! The resort is not close to anything or other resorts. It almost felt like going into a prison where you passed through a security gate, and then had to drive another 5 minutes to get to the resort. I had no luck trying to make a reservation at one of the restaurants. The QR system wouldn’t work sometimes or when it did work there were no available restaurant options. Also when you check out they add some type of Cancun government tax that no one tells you about ever until check out. Just do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere!

I would not recommend this hotel. This was our 3rd all inclusive resort in Cancun and by far the worst. The hotel is run down to include the rooms having an awful smell of mold. The supervisor for housekeeping and the housekeeper agreed our room smelled like mold, and while walking through the hallways you could see mold all over the building walls. Our a/c in the room also did not work well, we called for maintenance to fix it but they never came. Our only other option if we wanted to move rooms was to a completely separate building away from our families and to a 2 queen instead of king bed. The a/c was not on in most restaurants including the buffet which made it unbearable to eat especially around lunch time. The food is average, a lot of the food had no flavor. The bar displayed top shelf liquors, but as I watched them mix my drink they poured off brand alcohol into the drinks which we were disappointed about. Our families paid for Diamond Club which was a complete waste of money, made no difference at any bar or restaurant we went to- so if you do decide to stay there save your money. Most importantly, majority of the staff were very rude it made us uncomfortable because you were afraid to ask for anything. We have always enjoyed our time when we have went to Mexico, but this time made us not want to return.

Do not waste your money on this resort , the customer service is 0. The waitresses are super rude management is super rude. Good luck getting a table for dinner at the restaurants you will wait for hours , we were turned away from 3 restaurants and ended up eating at the buffet dinner. And don’t think you will get high end foodat the restaurants any ways, there is a extra chargefor steak in most of there restaurants,skip the Indian restaurant at any cost and the Mexican restaurant, the food has nothing to do with authentic Mexican or Indian food. The buffet is we’re your tummy actually will get full. DO NOT GET DIAMOND CLUB ITS WASTE OF MONEY,all the seats at the beach are still reserved and you can’t get a chair at diamond club private beach unless you tip them like really good (gave them 30$ to get a chair ) diamond clubs butcher told me he can’t give the menu for lunch that he only had burgers and chicken nuggets available, diamond club used to have a high end menu start from shrimp to tacos not anymore . Not to mention that this is our second time visiting this resort and this resort went hill down since 2018. 2018 my son got sick doctor came to room we didn’t pay a penny, today my son had ear infection called the doctor 200$ later here we are. Won’t ever ever visit any royalton hotels , customer service is horrible they are super rude , you order food and they question you why your kid needs from the regular menu end not the kid menu . Like what the heck I paid full price for my 12 year old he should be ordering what he wants without getting eye rolls from the waitresses. Short cut save your money and go somewhere we’re they have good customer service. This resort needs a more stricter management the waitresses play the game here.

I’m not sure why there are 1 star reviews for this resort because we had an amazing time. I was concerned before coming because of some reviews however if you are thinking about visiting Royalton Riviera DO IT!! we are here now on our honey moon and have had an amazing experience so far. We were upgraded for free to an ocean front room, and the beach is all sandy with very minimal seaweed. The food is the best I have ever had in Mexico with items to please everyone (I’m vegetarian and have had great food). The service has been awesome, the staff are very attentive and friendly that it doesn’t take long to get assistance when needed. There are multiple pools to decide between daily and there’s enough beach cabana beds that you’re never left without a chair or day bed. This is my 5th time in Mexico now and this place truly has been the best!! Highly recommend

My family and I stayed at the Royalton Blue Waters a few years ago, so I must admit, I expected a similar experience at the Hideaway Cancun even my cousins booked the hotel for our next family trip. Boy, was I wrong! The hotel needs several updates, but most importantly the service is lacking. Upon arrival, my sister and I waited 3 hours for our room, only to get to the room and have been given a single King bed. I walked the extremely long distance back to the check-in area to be told that I could keep that room and utilize the pull out sofa or oversized chair. After letting the staff member know how crazy he sounded offering that as a solution on a 6-day stay that was booked as a double, he offered "the last double available" on the first floor, front-facing....meaning or view would be nearly 2 miles of marsh and bushes. He stated that additional rooms would be available 3 days later on Saturday. We settled for the available room on the first floor, which we later regretted that night when we realized we were just above the service ALLEY, where we'd go on to hear workers walking back and forth into the night. As an all-inclusive customer, we had access to room service, which was also a bust the night after an excursion day. I only eat chicken and fish, so I planned to order one of the 2 meals on the room service menu, chicken fingers. I ordered the tenders and fries and was later notified that they didn't have any fingers... on the whole resort... that's adjoined to a family resort... where I'm sure the children patrons frequently request tenders. I was offered a ham and cheese sandwich instead. After communicating my dietary preferences, they offered a turkey sandwich...COOL. I'll never forget that terrible 'free summer camp sandwich'! Beyond these issues, we were only visited by housekeeping 3 times in the 6 days, one of which resulted in my sister's child medicine disappearing. Further, main of the metal fixtures in the rooms need updating, as they are rusted from the humidity. The grounds were well-maintained, and most restaurants had delicious options...if you could get a table. By the last night, after several attempts to get a reservation for 2 specific restaurants, I was forced to go to the service desk and ask for management. Andy was great, and she secured us a reservation at the steak restaurant, finally. This was a first and final visit at this resort. I hope, for business sake and the sake of their employees, they improve, because I overheard several others complaining as well. One last thing...besides the guest rooms, the casino, and the check-in area, the air conditioning SUCKS!!!

Cuenta con edificios habitaciones, varios restaurante de especialidades (desde comida indu a japonesa) discoteca y varios bares, además de shows gratis para los huéspedes todas las noches, varias albercas y actividades, es un resort completo con varios paquetes o niveles que se adaptan a tus necesidades.Lo malo es que para llegar tienes que atravesar aprox. 5 km. de manglares, para entrar o salir del hotel, si llevas carro no hay problema pero si vas a pie, el servicio del taxi del hotel es muy caro, te cobran 10 dlls para dejarte en la carretera, y estás a 1 hora de la cs. de cancun, si quieres que te lleven a Cancun te cobran $80 dlls. Si no tienes pensado salir eso no es problema.El personal el educado pero cortante, hay otros lugares en donde el personal es un poco más amigable....En nuestro caso el servicio de limpieza de la habitación derrepente no dejaba shampoo, en otra ocasión no dejaron café, y en otra no dejaron toallas...Fuera de eso las instalaciones son de primera y muy recomendable....

Lamentablemente hace un mes y dos semanas fui con mi familia y la experiencia fue fatal. Desde la llegada tuvimos contratiempos a pesar de haber llamado con 15 días de antelación previendo malas experiencias y poder disfrutar de las vacaciones. Las puertas del armario no abrían, la caja de seguridad no abría, el Jacuzzi no encendía…. En fin pague una de las habitaciones más caras en vano… no garantizan que todo funcione antes de entregar la habitación a los clientes. En el restaurante japonés no hablar….. no había disponibilidad para mesa caliente y de favor de favor, nos trajeron un arroz que para nada es lo que hacen en la mesa caliente un poquito y éramos 6, se supone que aunque no estes en la mesa caliente tengan los alimentos por los que el cliente va al restaurante japonés…… el servicio más o menos…….. no fue lo que espere. Mi cortesía por ser mi cumpleaños Hahahhaha tuve que recordarlo dos veces, que falta de atención. La forma en la que reservan los restaurantes especializados por Dios, si a las 7 am no estás escaneando QR no cenas….. en fin no fue barata mi estancia, les sugiero se reorganicen y tomen en consideración que la calidad debe ser relación precio. En mi experiencia no pienso volver, la primera experiencia te ayuda o te desmotiva, así que ojalá y puedan resolver esos problemitas así como mantenimiento de las áreas comunes, piscina con la barra dañada…. En fin……

Ya no es el mismo Royalton de hace 6 años, bajo muchísimo la calidad en el servicio.. casi no hay diversión nocturna ni mucho por hacer durante el día..Algunos empleados del lugar atendieron de mala manera. A veces ni pedía nada por que tardaba mucho para que te atendieran.. ojalá algún día vuelva a ser el de antes.. :(

Experiência maravilhosa Lugar fora do comum em relação a beleza. Na beira da praia Várias opções de restaurantes e bares molhados. Piscinas uma mais bonitas que a outra. Comida e bebida avontade. Melhor pinã colada que tomei , o copo é preparado com um pedaço de abacaxi na borda. No final não sobra nem o abacaxi. Local a vinte minutos do aeroporto, muito fácil de chegar. Funcionários atenciosos e muito educados.

Wow! We stayed at this all inclusive resort for a week. Amazing talent at the theater every night with live performances. Activities ranging from water aerobics to spa treatments to pools. The staff was very professional and very friendly. Bring sunscreen and check out the shops off the main lobby. The food was fantastic at all the restaurants we ate at. This was an experience we will remember. We want to go back.

Amazing experience. Grounds are meticulously maintained. Rooms are well apportioned, large and very well serviced on a daily basis. The buffet is beyond belief! Many varieties of very tasty food all served at the right temperature. Pools are large enough to accommodate everyone. The entertainment staff is off the hook! Everyday is something fun and exciting to bring people out of their shells and get them to have a good time.

During the pandemic my wife and I decided that as soon as things cleared up if they cleared up we needed to get away and that get her started as she's the planner in the family.
In her search, she found the Royalton Riviera Cancun as this resort provided what our family needed which were an all inclusive, kid friendly, adult friendly fun location that provided a way for our family to be together. We spent 4 glorious days there and loved every single day.
The staff was friendly, professional and courteous. There were enough pools to keep our 2 teenagers, 8 year old and my wife and I happy.
The poolside drinks and food was awesome. In which, the wait staff made sure your drinks stayed topped off. I could go on and on but I won't. My only issue was they didn't have enough life guards on duty during the day especially in the kiddie pool area but other than that it was money well spent!

Entiendo que por la pandemia el personal de servicio esté limitado, pero debo comentar nuestra experiencia tal cual. Tuvimos varios problemas en la habitación que denotaban falta de mantenimiento, y aunque en general el personal de servicio ponía todo lo que estaba en sus manos y era entusiasta no dejó de ser lento y en algunas ocasiones deficiente

Overall this wasn't a terrible experience the food was really good at the hibachi but everything else was just kindof average. the service was wonderful.the pools were nice.I highly suggest doing a swim out pool!! the presidential suite was amazing. It was a really good price the day after Thanksgiving and well worth that money.

This resort was amazing!! I stayed at the Hideaway (adults only) section of this resort and it was more than I had expected. The service was phenomenal, everyone is super nice. The food is absolutely delicious at the restaurants; the food at the buffet is also really good and very bountiful, loads of options to choose from. Beautiful views from all around the resort. There were two checkpoints before even entering the resort where I had to verify my booking, so I felt very safe! The rooms were very clean and spacious. I can’t wait to go again!!

The most amazing vacation getaway. I needed this after spending a year in quarantine! Absolutely beautiful, fun atmosphere, food is phenomenal, host are always accommodating! The SPA is out of this world! If you go,you MUST GET THE HYDRO THERAPY!!!! You won't be disappointed! I can't wait to go back!

Excellent service. Friendly, clean, and well maintained. Excellent gym... litterally as good as a small YMCA! Unfortunately, the beach was covered in seaweed during our visit. The cooks would make alterations for me & the baker even grabbed a loaf of rye for me that wasn't even being offered. The buffet was always good, but the restaurant style eateries fell a bit short in taste & healthier options for me. Mass entertainment & club was nice. Bar waiter came by frequently. Please everyone make sure to tip your servers/staff as this is very helpful to them. The hot tub room was freaking amazing. Really enjoyed our stay.

This was our second stay at Royalton Riviera, and we were pleased to find that it continues to live up to the hype.
Riviera Maya is a beautiful area, and this resort is clean, friendly, and inviting. Safety is a non-issue, and the staff makes sure you are cares for exceptionally well. You'll never go hungry, and your cup won't stay empty for long. There's lots of activity and pool/beach choices for folks with kids, couples looking for some privacy, and adults hoping to enjoy themselves. There are also activities for kids and teens.
I cannot overstate the quality and value this resort offers!

When we arrived it took a long time check in. When we finally was able to check in the room was not what was advertised and what we paid for. According to the person checking us in there was no room in the hotel that has a king and Queen bed in the room.
Once in the room it had a mildew smell in the air. We were told that someone would come and make up the sofa bed which they did not. We had to wait hours for someone to come and make up the bed.
The food was barely edible. Every restaurant we went to the food was disgusting. The drinks were also hard to digest. They were either too sugary or too watery. We had to take 5 tequila shots to even get a buzz.
The beach was full of seaweed. The water was not as pictured and the water was black. There was no effort or even an attempt to remove the seaweed from the beach.
In order for us to eat we had to travel off the resort every day which was pricey. Especially when you pay for an all inclusive resort.
In our room their was a jacuzzi outside on the deck. It was so nasty and dirty and they would not clean it. We called several times for it to be cleaned and no one ever showed up.
The staff were friendly. Its a shame they work in a hotel where you do not want to tip because everything is horrible.
I would stay far far away from this hotel. You will not have a pleasant experience.

Best money I have ever spent. The week flew by so fast I didn't want to go home. Get the diamond club upgrade, it so worth it, and if possible to their bar on the beach. Demaris,is a bar waitress there and is like the best thing ever. Super friendly and energetic. She made our stay even more enjoyable and also make sure to go to their hibachi restaurant and if possible request to see Oscar. Holy heck he was so skilled. That was the best dinner of the whole trip!!!

I had a great time visiting Cancun and staying at the Royalton Riviera Cancun.The check in was easy and smooth.I recommend when booking that you get the Diamond club upgrade for premium amenities. The swim out room was a great to have when you want to take a private dip especially at night.There were many restaurants to dine in,my only compliant is the food is just so so, nothing spectacular and some dishes lacked taste. Overall though it's a very nice resort!

We're disappointed. On the first day no one could find our reservation (yikes!). We were passed off to three or four different groups of people and ended up waiting an hour after they said they had found the reservation. They didn't give us a tour of the property but there's a resort map on the TV menu. You can do a lot through the TV menu like dinner reservations or book an excursion.
We booked an ocean view suite, I guess it's 'technically' an ocean view. We can see a small part of the ocean over a couple of rooftops in the far distance. The food was great at Agave! And we have had great customer service from the bar and restaurant staff. Room service has been very inconsistent. Great at times and horrible at other times.
Biggest con- The resort doesn't sell water and it's only available from room service after the bars and restaurants close. Understandable, but we have had major issues contacting room service. This has resulted in no drinking water access for 8+ hours. There isn't a shop nearby to buy water either.

Great friendly service, the resort is well maintained and secure. Even though it’s not required, but please don’t be to cheap to tip a few bucks for the great service..the royalton was very clean and had speedy service.. they don’t try to press and over sell you anything(time share, excursions, vendors, etc)...all the pools were very clean, the food was good and well prepared. Good room service..... 95% of the service was good and the staff appeared to be friendly....I was there for a week with my wife and 2 daughters in December 2020 for a b-day celebration and happy new year’s........... only one thing to be aware of is the high WINDS.... it got windy there daily, maybe because of where it is geographically located.. Also, the beach front water was not as clear and blue as it has been in the pass. It appeared very dirty, unclear and murky, therefore we didn’t get in....

I can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay! We booked a swim out room for the adults only portion of the resort, Hideaway, and it was just as pictured and described online! Henry, the bartender at the Hideaway pool truly made our experience top notch. All the staff were friendly and made sure we had everything needed to enjoy our vacation. The resort was clean, accommodating and the food was much better than anticipated. This will certainly be a yearly trip for us to go on and can’t wait to book again!

Un hotel demasiado increíble, las albercas grandes y no tan profundas, los restaurantes con comida muy rica y las bebidas también. Las habitaciones con una limpieza de maravilla y el mobiliario súper bien. Lo único que si veo como negativo es el trato en el servicio, por ser locales (nacionales) no hubo tanta atención como con los estadounidenses, eso me quedó un poco a deber, pero fuera de eso las instalaciones, áreas comunes y habitaciones del hotel están para disfrutarlas en general.

Lovely hotel! The whole space is airy, the rooms are spacious and sparkling clean, staff is extremely friendly and goes out of their way to help, great selection of food. I loved, both, the private beach and pool area. I recommend this resort to anyone.

Place is full of crass commercialism, even on the resort they literally lie to you to get you to make purchases. Way too big and filled with people ergo the level of ignorance is massive. Loud music late is annoying and they close the pools at 7. The actual staff (groundskeepers, service, room keeping) are all really friendly and great to chat to but the others are pushed into attempting duplicitous sales techniques. Also how can it be this hard to get a decent cup of coffee? Beach is narrow and strewn with garbage and not great.
Some pretty views, decent weather and beautiful lizards but you'll find that, and better, in other places.
Go elsewhere, give this one a miss

After arrival we were contacted by Travel Smart the “timeshare” for Royalton resort we DID not want to participate but obliged as the hotel rep said it would help him out and asked us to just show up and say no and that we were under no obligation and would still receive 100$ voucher toward our Hertz car rental. Fine we are good people and wanted to help him out so we went to the presentation and declined and were given the 100$ the next day we tried to book the car and were told we could not use this voucher. We really did not need the money but it really infuriated me that we tried to do something from the good of our hearts for the hotel rep only to waste 2 hours of our time on the presentation and another 2 hours arguing with the hertz rep Jose to use this voucher that clearly doesn’t work. Do yourself a favour and save yourself the trouble it is not worth it. Enjoy your vacation and precious time that you paid to be there and don’t waste it on scammers. I will not be returning to any of these hotels the “diamond club” is just a show you can pretty much use all facilities without it and still enjoy your vacation the people that work here are so unhelpful it was a waste to spend so much money for such poor service.

This is a marvelous place! Had lots of fun and very romantic at the same time. Would love to come again! This place is huge and the food is amazing! Service is very good, rooms are clean and very nice with your own jacuzzi. There are rooms with your own private pool even, great for kids!

Stayed here for me and my husband’s anniversary the first week in September. The resort itself is really nice and huge. However, if you’re a beach person like me, this was very disappointing. I couldn’t even swim in it and I see that water in Galveston, TX... I didn’t need to come to Cancun for that. The food at the restaurants were pretty basic and it was good but nothing extraordinary. Other than that, the staff was so nice and accommodating. They were always smiling and super helpful. Our room was amazing and they even had a little banner across our door that said “Happy Anniversary” but since the resort was so big it was a bit of a walk everyday. I wouldn’t stay here again, but it was still a good experience and we wouldn’t have known if we didn’t try it.
